Our Oshkosh store has been conducting extensive in-person research on the new Smart brand Cars in their delivery fleet.  These cars are capable of achieving up to 41mpg with the use of a 3 cylinder engine and regular unleaded gasoline.  Compared to the average fuel economy of all New cars on Americas roads (20.8mpg), the Smart Car gets almost double that!  The experiences that Jon in Oshkosh has with his Smart Cars may lead to all Glass Nickels owning and operating Smart Cars as company vehicles.  While it would be impossible to avoid driving automobiles in our line of work, after all we are a delivery business, we believe that through using new technology, such as that found in the Smart Car along with our fleets of W.V.O. (Grease) cars and Hybrids, we can substantially reduce our draw on the worlds non-renewable resources and create a much smaller carbon footprint in the process.
